10-Point Propane System Inspection
- Leak test entire propane system (detailed report included)
- Check operating pressures and adjust if necessary

- Clean and inspect all 1st and 2nd stage regulator vent screens (replace if needed)
- Inspect and/or replace all damaged or questionable propane tank dust covers

Cathodic Protection: What is Cathodic Protection, and Why Is It Needed?
- Underground propane tanks require protection from corrosion to ensure longevity and functionality.
- Cathodic protection is utilized to safeguard underground steel propane tanks and piping from electrolysis-induced corrosion.
- Electrolysis, a natural process in the ground, poses the greatest risk to underground tanks by causing metal corrosion over time.
- To counteract electrolysis, sacrificial anode bags are attached to the tank and placed in the hole with the tank before backfilling, altering the electrical currents in the earth.
- Tevis Energy offers System Inspection Plans to maintain the condition of your propane tank and ensure compliance with government regulations.
- All tank services are performed by certified Tevis Energy technicians, prioritizing your safety, satisfaction, and trust.
Tank Replacement Information
To be eligible for tank-for-life and free anodes, the initial tank inspection test must fall within approved testing parameters. In the event of tank failure due to corrosion, Total Propane System Analysis includes a discounted tank replacement. Cost is based on the length of plan enrollment: 1 Year (10%), 2 Years (25%), 3 Years (50%), 4 Years (75%), and 5+ Years (100%).
Tank replacement discounts require continuous enrollment in both Tevis Energy automatic delivery and the Total Propane System Analysis. Tevis Energy reserves the right to deny enrollment in the Total Propane Plan for tanks with pre-existing conditions.
Propane delivery from suppliers other than Tevis Energy will result in the cancellation of either plan. Yearly inspections, automatic renewal, and benefits must be received in the plan year.

All material is guaranteed to be as specified. All work to be completed in a workmanlike manner according to standard practices. Any alteration or deviation from above specifications involving extra costs will be executed only by written orders, and will become an extra charge over and above the service plan. All agreements contingent upon strikes, accidents or delays beyond our control. Consumer to carry fire, tornado and other necessary insurance. Our works are fully covered by Workman’s Compensation insurance.
